Stopping Jsa and other benefits?

Options
Hi there just looking for some advice, my oh lost his job/left in january (they said he didnt have the skills required to do the job properly and were not prepared to help him train further which they were meant to do when he started working for them and never did) and basically were making him very unhappy in his job making him work on jobs he wasnt skilled in and hadn't been trained properly in and then being unimpressed when he messed up jobs anyway it all came to a head and my oh left which was officially of his own accord (but he felt he had no other choice because of the reasons i stated above)

I have been on maternity leave since october and had our son in december basically we recieved 2 jsa payments after being told we could get it and then they stopped the claim and told my oh he had to apply for hardship which he did, however we were refused. My oh cannot sign on again until august for jsa and basically is going to sign on every 2 weeks and getting nothing for it, My question is if he signed off for now would it effect other benefits we are in reciept of? (We currently recieve, child benefit, working tax credit (for me) child tax credit and housing/counil tax benefit)

Many thanks

Sarah

    Hi

He needed to do two things

    1. Appeal the sanction
    2. Apply for hardship funds (60 percent of JSA)

have you applied for Housing benefit, CTB etc?

According to the OPs original post "We currently recieve, child benefit, working tax credit (for me) child tax credit and housing/counil tax benefit"
