just after Christmas (and stuffed with turkey) OH fancied a burger so made himself a chilli burger (from Adsa), I just had a regular one !!, anyway part way through he chomped down on a huge piece of what he thought was bone.....we took the box and bone back to Asda and were refunded and the "bone" sent away for testing !!, since then we have had one letter a couple of months ago saying they are "still looking into the matter" !!......today I phoned Adsa to see what was going on....I was told things like this normally take about 40 days , but this was put in the wrong queue and the manufacturer has not got back to them !!, it will now be treated urgently !!, I said I was disgusted that it has taken a call from me to move things along again, this bone (or what ever it is) could have caused real harm to a child as it was very sharp and big !, so now I will just have to sit and wait again !!, anyone else had problems like this ????

nothing that serious but when I was about 13 I brought a tin of lollies and was sucking on one and found an ant inside it, contacted the manufacture who said to send it to them and they would send me some thing back. Didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks then found another lolly with and any in so my mum contacted them again to complain, a week later a large parcel arrived with lots of sweets and toys in it. At the time I was very happy but now I kinda see it as the start of my dentl problems lol0

Remember that nothing happened to a child. Its an unfortunate thing that happens quite rarely when you consider how much food is consumed daily. Yes, Its a shame that it has taken them so long to get back to you , but at least they acknowledge this.one of the famous 50

So you didn't eat it and you got your money back.
What are you waiting to hear about?0 -
After 5 months I'd genuinely just move on with my life. Nothing bad happened.:cool:0

Why do people persist in this bizarre myth that children eat differently to adults? They open their gobs, they put food in, they chew, they swallow. The idea that a child (who's clearly old enough to be eating a burger) would be any more harmed by a foreign object than an adult is nonsense."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

It's absolutely the reason, isn't it? Thing is, it makes no difference to the law (usually) whether 'and to make matters worse, my mum's IN A WHEELCHAIR' when you're complaining about bad customer service. And nor do people like having their sympathies manipulated.
If someone's got a genuine gripe about something, stick to the facts and leave the emotion out of it."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Well, we are evolved to be more concerned, generally, about the welfare of random children than random adults.
On a practical note, children are somewhat scaled down from adults which means they have narrower throats which means things are more likely to get stuck.
When bad things happen we do - at least the more empathic amongst us do - tend to imaging such a thing happening to people we care about and who may be more affected by something than the average person.
Having said all that, I laugh at Mrs Lovejoy along with everyone else. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

That's all very well, Azari, but I'm not in the least empathic"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
