Thanks for posting this...i bought these yesterday & never normally bother checking my receipt any more as only ever had a few pence back. However, after reading your post and inputting my receipt....this time to my suprise due to my purchase of these crisps I got just over £4.00 back!

Back tomorrow to asda for more Walkers I think!:j

Glad it worked out for you! :)

Just checked receipt didn't work for today which is annoying :[ also it says on the breakdown that it would of cost £8.87 for the 2 packets at morrisons but on morrisons website it says they are £2 each ;o
  • I don't understand why it worked for you before but not the second time? They are £2 at Morrisons at the moment so they should have used this for price comparison. Worth querying with them?

Yeah it's annoying because I can't understand why Morrisons didn't show up as £2 each.. it says morrisons they are £4 something each.. but It says Morrisons are selling them for £2! the only thing I could think of was did they start the morrisons offer after I bought them yesterday afternoon? seems unlikely though :S How would I go about querying it? just phone them up?

Have you seen post 2 or did you buy more than 8 items? :)
I think prices are compared via moneysupermarket and not by Asda.

Yeah it worked I bought more than 8 items, got a voucher for £0.54 lol but not £5 :[
  • I bought 2 packs of the crisps yesterday and some other things hoping to try out the price guarantee thingy but they said I didn't have 8 items. I would dispute this as I reckon I did have 8 items (I actually had more but had 2 of some things so only counted them as one).
Nicolac M I would e-mail or phone Asda Customer Services if I were you, but I still don't understand why you got it on your first shop and not on the second.

Hi i'm new so sorry if this isn't right..

Went shopping in Asda yesterday and checked my reciept on price guarantee today. Managed to get a voucher for £5.33 because..

I had bought 2 x 26 pack of Walkers crisps they were meant to be £4.37 each but were on offer for 2 for £5 however when they did the price check it counted it as though I had paid £8.74

So I think I got the £5.33 voucher so.. the crisps were free? Just incase anyone else wants to try it out!

That doesn't make sense. Tesco are doing 2 for £6.50 and Asda tries to price match to 10% less than the supermarket it's comparing to, which would be £5.85. So you would get a voucher for £2.89 if my sums are correct and what you're saying is true. Also it'd only work if Tesco's was the nearest supermarket to the ASDA you shopped in.
