52 free pack of Walkers crisps?

Hi i'm new so sorry if this isn't right..

Went shopping in Asda yesterday and checked my reciept on price guarantee today. Managed to get a voucher for £5.33 because..

I had bought 2 x 26 pack of Walkers crisps they were meant to be £4.37 each but were on offer for 2 for £5 however when they did the price check it counted it as though I had paid £8.74

So I think I got the £5.33 voucher so.. the crisps were free? Just incase anyone else wants to try it out!

  • What else did you buy? you need to buy at least 8 different products for the asda price check so some of the other products could have contributed to the voucher price

I bought £40 worth of stuff but when I checked the breakdown that was the only item that was in the red.. It wasn't any of the other stuff I bought. It said tesco did it for £6.50.. so they were £2.24 cheaper.. so they like double it or something don't they?
  • Asda give an extra 10% so you would get the 2.24 difference plus 65p to make it 10% cheaper than tesco, total voucher for the crisps £2.89, which isnt bad going.
Ive not had an asda voucher before (dont shop there enough to try it) but it may have come from one of the other supermarkets or you got lucky and its a glitched voucher :)

Hey just checked my receipt again still confused..

It says my comparison total was £33.50 for asda and Tesco it would of been £31.31

    so Tesco was £2.19 cheaper..

    So is it not £2.19 + 10% of £33.50 (Asda price) = £3.13 so £2.19+£3.13? = £5.32 (I got voucher for £5.33)
  • what about the comparisons for sainsburys, ocado and morrisions? one of them could have been cheaper :)

i have and still cannot work out how they calculate the apg...still confuses me!!
  • So does that mean they work out cheaper than the current offer at Morrisons? 26 for £2 at Morrisons so I guess it does. Has anyone else tried it?

Thanks for posting this...i bought these yesterday & never normally bother checking my receipt any more as only ever had a few pence back. However, after reading your post and inputting my receipt....this time to my suprise due to my purchase of these crisps I got just over £4.00 back!
