Bank Offer

I have been sent today an offer from the Halifax as a goodwill payment for not fully explaining as clearly as it could the cap on interest rates in relation to a Standard Variable Rate. I was not expecting this cheque for £375 but after thought maybe this offer is the banks lowest offer and therefore I should refuse and go back for more. Can anyone explain this goodwill offer and advise should I 'go back for more'?
Thanks

Halifax were told to review a number of cases and this redress is a result of that. There is a thread in the mortgage section on it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
