Housing benefit help for part time student receiving incapacity benefit

Options
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can give me any advice? I'm currently a part time student (with the OU) and receive incapacity benefit. Still living at home (well, between mine and the fiance's home) looking to rent somewhere for ourselves, but i was just wondering if we would qualify for any housing benefits? Fiance works full time but on a seasonal contract.

I have tried to find out the info on the direct gov website but its an absolute mine field! I am planning on going into the council offices at some point, was just wondering if anyone culd give me a heads up :D

Thanks for reading my ramblings!

The fact that you're a part time student won't have any effect on your ability to claim benefits which will be based on your and your fiance's income.
