Ok, firstly I'm in the middle of restoring my pc, it completely crashed today.
Had to reinstall windows 7 so far found two problems, 1 hard drive seems to be the main problem. When not connected pc boots up fine.
Second problem on starting to reinstall programmes and drivers etc. I have no audio. I cannot get onto any of the creative websites - I get : Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
So if anyone can help me with a driver for windows 7 64bit and the soundcard is X-Fi platinum fatal1ty champion
Thanks

Windows update in Win 7 is normally pretty good at finding WHQL drivers. Have you tried update/install driver in Device Manager? Is your X-fi showing in Device Manager?604!0

Thanks but by magic sound is back on pc only problem now is to try and get data off hard drive that caused the crash. From memory I've lost all my artwork, images, photos, manga and anime. Going to take it down to repair shop to see if anything can be saved. I don't care about the operating system has I created a new one on a different hard drive by mistake but its a working system so I don't care.0

Do you need a repair shop or a simple caddy?
SATA
IDE
You can buy just the connecting leads for less if you don't want to splash out for an external case.
Of course if the drive is kaput!... it may cost you a lot more toretrieve the data.0 -
