Hair dye result far too dark: what to do?!

Hot oil is another good one for stipping colour.
Warm some olive oil up massage it in and leave for a bit - then wash out with washing up liquid.
I have used the Hair B4 and it does work - but obviously leaves hair dry. I dye my hair dark brown and over time it builds up and i used the CB4 tom remove the build up.
On freshly dyed hair you are best of going for hot oil, washing up liquid and head and shoulders.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
:eek::eek:
I've gone too dark!!! I always use medium brown. I usually do a semi. This time I used a different brand, because I wanted to try a foam one.
There is nothing MEDIUM about the result. It is like a black blanket.
I know I should have done a strand test, but I have been dying my hair medium brown for years.
Washed my hair a few times this morning with washing up liquid. Still very dark. Going to boots to try to find something to take the colour out.0 -
I can recommend color b4, I used it on DD red hair (she had bleached blonde then brown then red), It stripped the color out brilliantly, but it did go a tad gingery, but then used a light ash semi to correct it. Perfect.... !! ( make sure it's a semi ash, which is recommended)
Also try washing up liquid or/and head and shoulders..0 -
Don't forget to phone the manufacturers and squeal down the phone that you didn't do the strand test etc but it looks awful. (ie beg and sob!! rather than rant) because they will likely refund the cost in some way!
Then I am told anti dandruff shampoos strip colour
if it doesn't fade at all you will have to brave the outside world and if asked say "Don't you like it?? I thought I'd have a change and I'm really pleased with it!" Yes, lie like mad but see what the response is.
Good luck
ps I dyed mine a couple of years ago with a shade that went very red- I then learned to always use ash shades. Nicen'easy sent me a voucher and told me how to correct it- BUT- one of my neighbours said 'Love the hair!' and there's me hating it!!Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Make sure you put some cling film and a towel on top... and stay in the warm, works wonders.. and rinse out well... if it's a tad gingery use an ASH semi (or wash in wash out) Don't use anything else or it will go dark again.... There is a fan page on FB from the maker of it.. Giving you plenty of tips etc...0
