Just wanted to say Im thinking of you after reading your post. I went through exactly the same thing and my medical was ok. YOU can always appeal and take it further and I think you should IF you get turned down. You can go to Citizan Advice, they can help.
Hope it goes ok. Please remember you do have power of appeal. I know it doesn't feel like you have any power over them, but you do.
