Just a heads up to you guys about this company i have encountered!


This company sells air cleaners. You fill up the water bowl, put some essences in and switch on. I have a lot of experience with these devices as have had 'Breathe' revitalisers for a while.

I received an email from them stating a one day sale of 50% owing to them wanting to clear some space in their warehouse. Thinking this was a great chance to get some additional cleaners in the house I duly spent £60 on essences and a 'Health Breezer' When it all arrived, started trying out each of the essences. The Jasmine one was pretty nice (albeit not as strong as I am used to with Breathe) Several of the other, i felt were not strong, infact, barely noticeable, and one of them was leaking a little. I contacted CFA via email and received a phone call a few days later. When i told her about the leaky one, the woman on the phone said that because of the price i paid, theres not much shes prepared to do, and it was only after i kicked off about it, did she agree to send me a replacement essence for the one that is leaking. (which incidentally still hasnt arrived). Then today, i noticed that the motor/spindle moves up and down, which it shouldn't, and wondered if this is effecting the air flow, and therefore the smell of the essences, so I contacted them agaoin, to get the same lady. I started explaining that i may have been wrong, and it may be the machine, and not the essences only for her to cut me off to say shes only popped into the office for a minute and shes not working today, and said she would phone me back tomorrow. I rang back, and tried a different option and actually got through to someone, who tried and 'no one' was available. All i want to do is exchange my unit (which is barely a few weeks old) for the exact same model. I get the distinct impression i'm being fobbed off, which is a shame, as the machine seems to be of good quality aside from this minor thing.

I think i'll try other essences from other companies to see if theirs are better! Any suggestions anyone? I cant use the Breathe essences as they are designed for a square shaped machine and just foam up in my current one.

Does anyone own any of the essences from 'Pureaire' or 'Goodsphere'? are they any good?

just a little update for you. Contacted Care for air again, was told that i was to be contacted within the hour. It turns out that the woman i spoke to in the above post was the owner of the company, and she was the one who was meant to call me back, which she didnt, this time, or last either. I keep receiving emails from them offering me 50% off and 25% off, so I assume that they aren't doing too well. While this is a shame for the employees, its no wonder when customer service is this bad! Seriously guys, avoid this lot like the plague.
