I'm moving to a new home this week where there is no gas supply - its Oil central heating and Electric. How do i compare Electric only prices? I'm currently with Scottish Power on their Online Energy Saver 5 which ends this month but i'm struggling to find the best prices for electric only as a) i don't know what my usage will be and b) i'm on a dual tariff at my current property.
Thank you
Thank you

a) estimate what your useage will be
b) don't look at dual fuel quotes, then
Surely, as it is oil central heating, the electricity useage should be quite similar to what you currently use? Unless the hot water is not connected to the oil.
It doesn't matter too much if your initial useage is accurate - you just want to see what is available in the new postcode and which tariffs are likely to the best in that region. Any new home will have variables that you will only discover once you move in (even if it was the same fuels as before) that mean any initial selection is always only a bit of a best bet.0
