    What's wrong with the machine?

Factory restore then ccleaner with wipe freespace option ticked will stop recovery of your data if someone attempts to run getdataback or something similar in future.

Went for the f11 option.....pressed f11 a few times on startup and it said....This program will restore your computer to it's out of box state............took about 30 mins but all seems fine.....thanks for the help
  • You could just download linux onto a usb key, boot into it on the fly and then just reformat the entire hdd. That would totally delete anything on the hdd
