Hi,
my shed is in such a state that i dread to even go in there!! I want to clean it up once and for all. There is so much things in there i cant even imagine!!
Im not sure what i should do. Should i TRY and clean it up, maybe get a skip, or should i let the professionals do it? I probably have a budget of £50-£70, could vary... There is no paint, no carpet and no furniture.
any help would be appreciated
thanks

Spend £5 on a gallon of petrol and a box of matches.

You could just take all ur crap out and hire a van and take the rubbish to your local tip (providing thats free of charge) this is usually cheaper than a skid and more environmently friendly as you can recycle the wood etc0

How about putting anything with any use at all out at the front of your house with a sign... "Free, please take away."
If after a couple of days you still have it all sitting there, put another notice on it saying "£50, ONO". It'll all be nicked by the following morning I promise you...!!!0 -
If you live near me you can give me the £50 and I'll do it for you!! Professional shed cleaners?? Perhaps I can set myself up! No, seriously It depends on how much spare cash you have. Personally I could never pay anyone to clear out my rubbish. My shed was a bit like that last year. Its not big (6 x 4) but it seems like you opened the door threw whatever in and shut the door quickly! It got a bit dangerous when i needed some garden tools out as I had to try to step over god knows what. I chose a niceish day. Took everything out and made piles of stuff to be chucked, stuff which someone may want and stuff I needed then put it back all tidy. Made a huge difference to morale as well. Took all the rubbish in my car to the local tip. If you dont have a car offer to pay for the petrol for someone else to drive you there. Make it a new years resolution to tidy that shed!0

Nice offer, but my way doesn't cost anything....
Believe me, stuff is far more attractive if someone thinks it's worth something

How much would this van to hire? One of my friends told me that he called up these people, they brought a skip, and they cleaned up the shed themselves, he just told them what to keep, and what not...

Hi Kaba......join your local FREECYCLE, mention a few choice items, bob's your uncle.0

be a bit careful about who you hire if you get someone to cart yoyr rubbish away. I have worked for env health and what some people are doing is to charge you £50 or whatever , they come and take your rubbish away, cant take it to the tip as they are a business and have to pay so fly tip the stuff at the side of the road. Env health comes along, goes through the rubbish and finds bills and letters addressed to you then you can end up in court! Take a note of someones vehicle reg just in case anyone comes knocking!0

In the districts I've lived in, you could phone the council and arrange them to pick up your rubbish and dispose of it for free (well included in the price).
Personally, I'd chuck it on the lawn, take a few photos and job lot it on ebay - buyer to collect.0 -
