Quite pleased with what I have done today. Ancient dining table and chairs swapped for a lovely computer desk. It has created a lot more space and much tidier. Computer was on dining table and it was a dumping ground. Cat not best pleased as he hates change.

Hugs and spoons for Toots. Lady L and Lamewolf.

Loosing my get up and go before it started :( Going to watch a vid on youtube about kitchen cleaning - sad I know but it gives me a boost :)

  • I survived the onslaught. All children fed, partied and by the end of their water bombing escapades, hosed down and despatched to their parents, all happy, squelchy wet and giggly to the end (including the child who has coeliac disease, who thinks I'm wonderful because I made sure there was plenty of gluten free foods on offer).

Everything was clean and the floors mopped by 8pm. I then collapsed into bed at 10 and slept until 9.45am.

Today we have purchased purple gravel and plants for Minion's aquarium and done as little as possible. I intend for this to continue.

BTW Maxonian, I only discovered I had previously had at least one quinsy (that the GP had dismissed as a sore throat that wasn't worth looking at, as they were only ever viral, when I had surgery three years later and the surgeon spent three hours of a scheduled fifteen minute op excising dead, scar tissue and infected material from my mouth and throat. It took them two hours to get me conscious again afterwards. So please do as you're told!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

I did some tidying in my lounge earlier today and now i have a pile of 'stuff' in the middle of the floor that i really don't know what to do with. None of it has a real home and the rooms it could go in are all in a worse cluttered state than the lounge! Do i just relocate it to other rooms but not put away as there isn't anywhere to put it? I have the strong urge to slide it all under the sofa.

I also have an infestation of red valerian, from the same NDN.
    http://www.plantpress.com/wildlife/o1025-redvalerian.php

Both plants are fine if kept in check, but they tend to run rampant otherwise, and frankly, are not welcome in my garden, because I'm not able to do gardening as I used to.
