    Afternoon all,

Well I've had a busy day today. Went downstairs this morning and found that the bag of carrots I bought the other day was on the turn (I think it's cos they put them into the bags wet). SO, I decided to use them up by making carrot cake and some carrot soup for my lunches. I had to go to the supermarket to get a couple of bits. I've half-made both - need to ice the carrot cake, and blitz the soup with some coriander before portioning and freezing it. Then whilst I was washing up some of the baking things, I looked out the window and was fed up at looking at all of the bindweed and stickyweed along the back wall (strangling the raspberry and loganberry) so I decided to go out and get rid of it all. I've pulled out most of the bits I can get to (although I know the roots of the bindweed are probably still in the ground as they go deep against the wall), and then I needed a shower. I did wear gloves, but now I can see why Moon wears long sleeves when doing gardening (I'm not a natural gardener), as my arms are now all covered in scratches.

Still, one big black sack is now full of weeds, the garden looks a bit better, and once I've got dressed, I'll finish off the cake and soup. We're out to dinner at M&D's tonight, so I can stick the DW on before we go out.

    Hope everyone is well,

yes, I expect it was the best end he could have had. I dipped in from time to time, it reminded me that I said I wouldn't waste another day once my cancer treatment was finished and how easily I forgot that:(

well done Juliejim on the debt front :j

got a lot done at lunchtime and the back garden looks much better now.

I am now tired and bored :(

also heard that the e-coli thats infecting Germany is a new strain and is a combination of 2 nasty bugs to make one super nasty bug

    high guys

Is it hot or what! 25 degrees here and wall to wall sunshine  almost too hot lol erm not done much today, it's been a funny one actually, went to look at an empty house from the outside first thing, but kinda decided against it as it's too far out, fab house just wrong area :( emailed council about the one I asked for, not getting it :( then emailed the councillor and she said 'sorry it didn't work out' so feel a bit upset, defeated and deflated now and not sure which way to turn next, truth is I don't want to move, but the house needs to be done, so I'm thinking get them to at least do the electrics then I can get the walls plastered and the floors down and actually start to move forward. Then they can do the outside as and when cos they still don't know. I'll deal with the cold weather when it returns lol.

Littley out at her friends for tea, teenie out at the beach. Rabbits out in the back garden, and OH out sunbathing in his back garden lol

I have however put the very expensive throw for the bed given to me by a customer into the WM, I'll be ever so posh! and DD1 is having her king size bed cos she's getting a hospital bed delivered and was gonna chuck it out  she was thrilled to be giving it to someone who could use it :T We're picking it up first thing tomorrow.

I've blathered on about nowt again haven't I *tuts*

I've kinda half heartedly tidied the LR and kitchen.

woohoo well done Jules that's fantastic :D

ETA: just read back a bit, sad news about Chris :(
