There used to be a lot of places including barclays that used to offer visa gift cards you could pay them a fee + the ammount you wanted on the visa gift card and you could give them to your friend or loved one for as a giftr for a special occasion.
Then all of a sudden they seemed to have stopped.
are there any other places that do gift visa cards? like prepaid ones except you can give them to people as a gift and use them in shops or online?.

Barclays did them for the best part of 4 - 6 months and then stopped?

Most gift vouchers you purchase today come as gift cards - why does it have to be a visa one?
And as you say Pre paid cards are also available.0 -

Because visa gift cards and virtual visa cards like wwwcard which stopped trading offered you a way to stay anonymous when using the card online.
prepaid debit cards dont quiet keep you anonymous "I value my privacy":A0 -
Gift cards do though.
I realise that you will be restricted to a particular retailer group though.
Why do you want to stay anonymous though -is it something illegal you are doing or just embarrassing?0 -
I'm sure I've seen Mastercard ones in Sainsburys if this helps.0

I believe Clintons Cards and WH Smiths do MasterCard pre-paid gift cards too. Visa gift cards are rare from what I've seen.
Gone from Poor to Excellent Credit. Proud of my recovery. Never going back to the sub prime!
NatWest Select, Advantage Gold, First Reserve & e-ISA account holder. Holding: NatWest Platinum MasterCard, Virgin MasterCard and American Express Gold charge card.0 -
I believe some shopping centres offer them. I'm sure I saw Manchester's Arndale Centre offering them. I didn't notice any limitations on where you can use them.
Found details of the cards here The terms and conditions include:A Gift Card is a prepaid payment card which may be used to pay for goods and services at participating retailers that accept Maestro® cards.
It is designed for use in shops and retail locations within the United Kingdom for transactions conducted in UK Sterling where you are
physically present. The card is not designed to be used for mail order, telephone order, or Internet transactions
Additionally, the cards are only valid for 12 months.0 -

nothing illegal. Just want to register a domain and when you pay for it they use your details which come up on a dns lookup
so basically the world and his wife can find out where you live
So if you could get a prepaid card you can register without giving your details out but its finding a prepaid card that you can use online and one that you do not have to send off for.
Just hand the cash over ,load the card and off you go.
wwwcard used to be perfect until it went down so did pegcard but they stopped working
In good old america you can go in to walmart and buy them but we are not in america:A0 -
its a fraud prevention measure, no other reasonDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Why not just buy whois protection?
Or if it's .uk domain opt out of showing your details if your not a trading individual.0
