Hey MrsP nice its good to hear that ur having a holiday we all need a break you are so right in that statement we all work too hard :-)
I went to the dentist today and wish I hadnt it was my wisdom tooth so they took it out with me screaming, shaking and cryingso I now feel terrible and am in lots of pain. Well am working all weekend so am going to head to bed now in the hope that when I wake in the morning my mouth wont be as sore as it is now

Buddiebabe - sorry about the tooth - if its still hurting this morning go to the chemist and buy some Corsodyl gel - you just squeeze a bit out and put it on the gum where its hurting - it really helps me a lot. I get a lot of aching teeth and that has been my saviour.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Buddibabe - how are things going?
I have set 1st August as my D-day for so many things to begin - a new way of debt busting and to tackle my weight to name but two.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hey
Sorry not been around much lately things aren't going so well. I've been having problems with the happy pills I was put on which has meant I've had to stop taking them which is really not what I need right now
When I was taking the tablets I wasn't too worried about money or anything but I got by but now I'm off them I'm still not too worried about money I'm more in a blind panic about it!!!
I've not updated my debts for July or august so am aiming to start again in September. We've had a few things we have had to buy over the last few months so I have managed to get them using my very account and all of them are on buy now pay in 12 months but I have already factored the cost of these into my monthly spending so with any luck they will be paid off before the 12 months is up.
I'm working extra hours in my 2nd job this week but am going to see if I can get an appointment with the doctor as some of the thoughts I've been having are just not right and luckily there is a part of my brain still telling myself not to be so stupid.
September is going to be a very busy and expensive month for us as its my sister in laws civil partnership which involves 2 overnight stays and a lot of money being spent on petrol, a wedding present, our 1st wedding anniversary, a leaving night with dinner and my sisters 30th birthday.... We have managed to save up throughout the year for the majority of this, however, I still have £200 to put towards this which I've spent on other things.... Not sure exactly what but its gone and I need to put it back!
We still haven't bought our wedding pictures yet and need to think about doing that as the photographer isn't going to wait forever.
I'm not going to have much time to update over the next month but am going to try and at least sort out the basics so I know where I stand. We have 2 weeks off work in September so am hoping to spend at least one full day dealing with money matters... Fingers crossed I make it that far.

Buddibabe - first of all you are right - you must see your Doctor.
You still seem to have some sort of control though (over your money). the fact that you have bought some stuff on buy now pay later but have factored in the payments is really good and well thought out. Also you have got something to put towards your September expenses - it may not pay for all of it but at least it will pay for part of them.
I am thinking of you and sending you some positive vibes your way.
My August D-Day did not go as planned as ended up with lots of extra expenditure. Am now back on track and trying to live out of the freezer for the next couple of weeks - even if it means eating funny combinations.
My son is 17 in December. He has done very well in his exams and we have said we will buy him a car. He has a summer job and has been saving to pay for the insurance - which is almost double the cost of the car. I have the money for the car £600 - a work colleague's car so that is OK - we also have the money for the insurance - almost. Now I need to start thinking about the cost of driving lessons. we live in a remote part of country and our excuse for getting the car is that it will be our second car for DH to use. I have a car and DH uses his motorbike - but we have been car sharing to work lately as don't work that far apart. Also when the weather is bad and we can't car share then DH won't have to risk it on the motorbike. It was still a difficult decision to make though. Luckily DH is quite handy with mechanics and will be able to do stuff to the car which should help with the cost
Take care.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -

Total paid off from June to September £141.80
Total paid off since 01.01.12 £1868.53 (7.56%)
Well £141.80 in 3 months is actually more than i thought i would have paid offespecially with the way i have been feeling
So althought its not my best achievement its better than i had hoped for so am quite happy with it.
Its been a very expensive few months, my hubbies 30th, holiday, my sister in laws wedding and my sisters 30th birthday is next week so i'll be glad to see the back of September to be fair! It is also our first wedding anniversary next week and i don't actually have any idea about what to get my husband also i do not have much cash to get anything but would like to do something nice for it. Any ideas??
We had to pay our road tax this month £220  but luckily we had enough saved in the house account for this. I was having second thoughts about saving for all these little things but if i hadn't been saving for this id have never been able to afford it.... its also house insurance renewal at some point in the next month or 2 so i have £200 put aside for that but am going to see if i can get it any cheaper and hopefully be able to re distribute any savings i can make from that!
I have just finished paying for my park hamper and vouchers for xmas so i don't have that to worry about either. I'll also have a commission cheque to get through in November for that.
My jewellery job is going quite well they have increased my hours from one to two a week which is giving me a little bit extra money...its not much but every little helps...so they say!
I managed to take advantage of some of the deals in boots with their advantage card points so i've already got a few christmas presents sorted out
I've spent all day on the laptop trying to sort out my money and what still needs to be paid and i think i may be on track to pay everything i need to this month without having to carry anything forward to next month.... fingers crossed.
Im going to try and upload some items to our local facebook buy and sell page to see if i can get rid of some of the [STRIKE]clutter[/STRIKE] i mean treasure i have in the house
Also have been back to doctors and have got new tablets but i haven't started taking them yet as i was at the wedding during the week and am out again 2moro night so i'll wait until Monday when am hoping that the cold i have had since i started my holidays last week will eventually just disappear!!

Buddibabe I am shocked that it is your first wedding anniversary - I remember reading your diary in the run up to the wedding and it seems like it was a couple of months ago! Where did that year go?
Hope you enjoy your day. DH and I don't bother getting each other presents any more - this year we just had a bottle of wine and some chocolates at home - we didn't even have a meal out - but it was still lovely and marked the occasion.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hey
Wish i had some positive debt busting news to convey however, as things stand at the moment i've managed to increase my debt by nearly £200this month.
It was my sisters 30th birthday party last night and i ended up spending a small fortune getting her all the bits and pieces she needed for the buffet and also getting something to wear.
The only upside to all the spending is that i have been selling a few items on the local facebook page so the £200 could have been nearer £400 if it hadn't been for that!
I know it was alot of money to spend but in all fairness my sister did organise and pay for my whole party when i was 30 and i didn't have the funds to do that for her but i did manage to help out as if i hadn't done it then there would have been quite a few hungry people there. I was hoping to wear something i already had in the house but there was no chance of that happening as i have put on so much weight lately that the only thing that fits me is my work uniform and even that's getting a bit tighti really need to start on some kind of diet or fitness regime soon.... but i did manage to buy my new outfit from the local facebook page so i didn't over spend on it.
Anyway im going to spend the afternoon sorting out my money to see just how bad things are and what i can get away with paying the minimum on this month before we go out for an anniversary dinner that my mum and dad have decided to treat us forso at least we don't need to worry about what to eat today.
Will try and update again soon

Hey
Well here's the details of my debt as it will be at 1st October 2012:
CREDIT CARDS:
RBS M/C 1 £8840 now £8840.00
RBS M/C 2 £5870.00 now £5849.82

MBNA £3244.00 now £3085.00
TESCO £2277.00 now £2322.04
SANTANDER £309.93 now £300.00
JOINT ACCOUNT
WEDDING PRESENTS £360.00 now £350.00
DRESS CLEANING £100.00 now £95.00
DUNFERMLINE £120.00 now £110.00
VERY ACCOUNT
IPAD £242.95 now £240.80 (Buy now pay June 2013 0% IFC)
LAPTOP £369.00 now £367.00 (Buy now pay July 2013 0% IFC)
FRIDGE / SAT NAV £332.00 now £330.00 (Buy now pay August 2013 0% IFC)
TOTALS:
CREDIT CARDS £21313.88 now £21326.17
JOINT ACCOUNT £580.00 now £555.00
VERY £943.95 now £937.80
TOTAL DEBT OUTSTANDING £22837.83 now £22818.97
Total paid off from 14th September to 30th September £18.86
Total paid off since 01.01.12 £1887.39 (8.31%)
Well it's not a great amount but after thinking that i was going to have a £200 increase a reduction of £18.86 is great
I have managed to pay something to every debt this month, the only one that didn't go down was my tesco card but that is because i've used it.
I paid my parks vouchers off early using a short term loan from my hubby as i had a few customers who had paid in full wanting their vouchers. To do this i've had to use my commission due to me in November and i still owe hubby £200 but still have £274.50 to collect so will be able to pay him once i get the money paid to me which is why i've not included it as a debt.
I have started up my own business doing sweetie tables for weddings. I decided that i wanted to pursue it after doing one for my sisters party and the comments i received about it. I've not actually started trading as such but i have registered with HMRC, submitted an application to environmental health and set up my facebook page so just need to work out what's next. Don't really want to do too much until i've heard back from environmental health. I don't even have any money behind me to get this started but to be honest until i get a booking its not really going to cost me anything as i already have all the glass jars, bowls, scoops and tongs from my wedding so it's just the sweets i need to get.
Im not sure if its a good idea or not with my current financial situation but at the end of the day if i didn't do it now then i honestly don't think i would have done anything about it ever.
Will just need to see what happens.
Until my next update
