    That'll be because they get confused with valid/invalid licence & expired photocard, as do some insurance co's, police occifers etc etc
    Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!

    It worked out convenient for me, as I kept getting asked for a photo ID in banks etc, and I didn't have a current passport. Caused no end of problems. Had trouble getting my money out of Barclays before I got it, but they grudgingly, finally accepted a bus pass.

    It's the new form of identity card.

    (Passports no good to me. I can't travel any more.)
