Hi guys
I need some help please.
I have a 250Gb xbox slim which I want to connect via wifi to my Linksey WAG120N router.
I scan for my router, I find it, I enter my key and all is good but it just refuses to connect to live, I keep getting an error message saying there is something wrong with my connection.
I have tried all the suggestions found on xbox.com, but still no joy and today I have trawled through the cisco forums and tried all suggestions there, but it still refuses to work:mad:
If I connect via ethernet, it connects fine:D
Anyone encountered problems like this before and can you help me please?

Some people are saying that the router encryption needs to be set to WPA2/AES for the slim to work on wireless N. Alternatively you could try restricting the router to the slower wireless G0

I read about that as well davb, so changed those settings, but still no joy:(
Anyway have decided now to buy an ethernet switch and use it wired instead, that way I can have the ps3 and xbox on a wired connection and forget the wireless;)
Funny thing is I tried the ps3 on wireless and that worked perfectly, why the xbox has to be so awkward is beyond me:(0 -
Last week I had similar troubles with a new dlink modem. The xbox was picking up the signal but would not connect. What I had to do was make up an isp number and type it in, type in the computers subnet mask and computers default gateway. The connection worked. The only problem with it is that everytime you switch the xbox back on you have to reconnect by "testing connection." It wont connect automatically.0

Possibly weak signal?
I have a slim version as well and my router uses MAC filtering which I never had any problems with.
I know some protection can be 'incompatible with 360's but I wouldnt know personally.0
