Average Credit Score Credit Cards

Does anyone have any experience with credit cards that are happy with an average credit score.

I have no CCJ's or Defaults just a few missed payments here and there around 3 years ago. I show on the voter's role with all credit agencies for my current and previous address.

I had actually been accepted for a card with MBNA, but then for some reason have over turned that decision for reasons, as usual, they will not really disclose but they did say it could be to do with my prev missed payments (showned as maily 1's on my credit file) 3 years ago.

I really want to take advantage of a 0% transfer, and therefore would like to try another lender without applying for loads of different cards and leaving several footprints on my file, ie reducing my credit score.

any idea where's best to apply for me, Mr Average?

Last year I got an egg card with a £3500 limit with no problems. I've got a few missed payments in the past and they approved me straight away. Strangely enough though I also have an MBNA card. It may be worth getting hold of your credit file and just checking that all the info is correct before you apply.

I had no problem getting Monument with a poor credit score, and got approved for halifax with a average score...

try appealing the decision made by mbna - write them a nice letter saying how much you would like there card and give details of your income and outgoings - they may and often do overturn there decision.
