Considering leaving loyalty behind. Handelsbanken maybe?

I have been a steadfast Barclays/HSBC customer for a number of years and am now thinking of moving to a non-high street that offers a fresh approach to financial management and overall better customer experience.
Just stumbled upon the Swedish bank called Handelsbanken (with about 6 London-based branches) which appears to have a proven record of topnotch service delivery and customer care and satisfaction. It looks like quite a highbrow bank but claims to reach out to the 'common man' too. Their website gives little away and it seems the only way to find out about opening an account is by emailing one of their dedicated branch mangers.
Short cut: For those who bank personally with them, what is the criteria for opening a personal current account? Many hoops?
Thanx.
