Battersea Dogs and Cats - appeal for bedding after fire

A message has just come in on our freecycle group which I thought worth passing on so that more people get to see it. Please go to http://www.battersea.org.uk/about_us/whats_new/laundry_fire.html to see exactly what they need/can take:
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is urgently appealing for donations of bedding for its sickest dogs and cats, after a fire left its laundry room out of order.
Just after 8am on Thursday 25 May a tumble dryer in the charity's Clinic laundry caught fire. All staff and animals were safely evacuated, but the laundry room is now out of bounds due to smoke damage.
The Clinic normally washes 20 loads a day in its industrial sized washing machine. It would take an average British family eight weeks to get through an equivalent amount of washing. As the washing machine is normally on from 8am until 5pm every day, the laundry is already piling up. Unfortunately the Home's main laundry is working at full capacity, and is unable to cope with the extra washes from the Clinic.
Anyone wishing to donate bedding can bring it to the Home at any time, at 4 Battersea Park Road, London, SW8 4AA, where it will be very gratefully received. Please email
