B&Q - Any tips on haggling?

Hi all,
We're about to do our first renovation on a home we've just bought... from looking through various catalogues etc, we've pretty much worked out we'll be buying:
2 sinks - £195 each
2 concealed toilets - £129 each
Carcass/Fascia for 2 toilets £130 each
1 bath with front panel £114
towel radiator thing - £109
Prices are from the website. We're looking for supply only for everything.
In addition, we're also getting a kitchen but still need to work out specifics. Appliances etc will probably come from somewhere else, but will make sure I get an idea of price differences before heading in.
Given it's a bank holiday weekend, am thinking if we'd definitely be quids in if we tie this up tomorrow or on Monday. Also, can anyone advise if/what we should have as a target in mind to haggle off the price, or perhaps to get them to throw in? This is in addition to the weekend extra discount promos etc.
Thanks!

Have you checked out Homebase, they have 15% off this weekend.
You could use that as a tool to get B&Q down on price.0 -
If theres a focus nearby theyre having a closing down sale. went today and got 20% off aload of stuff i needed to buy anyway as we are doing the house up.0

Thanks for the answer guys!
No focus near me as far as I can tell... love the idea about using the 15% though. Time to start working the kitchen bits out!!
Thanks!0 -
Why does it have to be B&Q? How about Wickes, or one of the many other trade counters? No free lunch, and no free laptop0

To be honest, I didn't realise there was a seperate "trade" counter we could access!
Typically what kind of discount do you think a trade counter would offer over the shelf price? Pretty much all the stuff we're going for is "on offer", but I guess that's not really saying much!0 -
if you use quidco, register your card with them ( quidco) they give you cashback on all purchases not just onlineDiv 1 Play Off Winners 2007

Anyone you like, you don't have to be a builder to use a builders' merchants. Any plumbing merchant should have a good range of the kind of stuff you are looking for, certainly more choice than B&Q.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
A tip. Just get stuff for 1 project at a time.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
