New fridge freezer needed?

Hi folks,
I have an old Hotpoint fridge freezer which I need to replace. It was on its last legs 15 years old but me trying to clear the ice compartment with a screw driver didn't help as I cracked one of the gas lines and the gas has gone
) so only saving grace is it was time to get a new one anwyays because fridge wasn't that great and too much ice in freezer.
1 If I crack one of the lines in the freezer and hear and feel the gas escaping does this mean that all the gas in the fridge freezer will escape rendering it totally useless?
2 Am I right in thinking that a new frost free fridge freezer shouldn't have too much build up of ice in freeaer unit?
3 What do you think of this one at currys?

thanks for any advice

I think your right, these modern ones seem to be very good at not allowing a build up of ice.
I'm looking for appliances for a new kitchen and my technique is to physically look in the usual places - currys, b and q etc to get a feel for if they are what i want, then spend some internet time, such as kelkoo etc - once picked one I like, making sure check all reviews first before I buy.
PS Slightly concerned I used the term "these modern ones" as sound like my mum!!Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
