clothes in the store room

Hi Guys,
I need to move a lot of clothes to the store room and wanted to know what the best way is to keep them there. I was concerned about the extreme weather in the winter as the store room does not have any heating but it is safe from rain water unless there's flooding then it might seep in.
Is that a concern for the clothes as they might get damaged due to the moisture/dampness in the air. Should I use plastic containers (airtight maybe) to store them. There are quite a few of them and I would have to invest in a few boxes or can someone suggest an alternative or give ideas/tips
Thanks a lot

Use the vacuum seal bags, don't store them on the floor.
Use small cedar wood blocks in the bags, this will act as a insect repellant.
How long do you intend to store them?C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Thanks Dippypud,
I am intending to store them for a few months, leading into winter. I have a few cartons worth of clothes which I need to move into the store as I am going overseas and renting my place. Do I get large enough vacuum seal bags for these. Any ideas where I should look for them.
Also would using those 80-100 Litre plastic storage boxes suffice0 -
Thanks imho & Dippypud,
These seem like the perfect option. I only need to get large enough sizes now. Can you guys suggest a good durable brand.
The only other thing I am worrying about is what if some insect eats its way through the bags. Will having naphthalene balls in the room help or is there any other way to make sure of this0 -
We keep lots of stuff off season in the loft using garden furniture cushion bags from Aldi, they are heavy gauge plastic or tarpaulin material with a decent zip designed to keep your outdoor cushions dry & clean when stored away in an outdoor shed. Never had any problems and they are large too. Aldi had some in again recently on their specials (12th May), may be some still floating around in the stores as offers usually just get moved along the store until sold and these won't be a quick sellout, good value at £2.990

Not many insects eat through plastic, the only problem would be rodents.
But, that said, stored well they should be fine...C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down.
