he can usually cover anywhere at all greater belfast - as far as I know he will cover any belfast jobs on the one day etc, he is easy to pay and I've always had a decent service. He used to have a shop in Antrim but has gone mobile recently

There's a shop near the co-op on the lisburn road who managed to bring my very old and almost dead laptop back to life. They analyse the problem and give you a call before doing anything and were a lot cheaper than buying a new laptop or going to one of the big PC suppliers. I brought my laptop to a world that sells PCs (don't want to name names) a few years ago as it wouldn't power up. The techie tested it and said I needed a new motherboard (£225 + postage). I borrowed another power cable from a friend and that was all that was wrong. £16 bought me a new one. The morale is to stay away from the big guys!
  • Got Private message all sorted for £20.

    Thanks all.
  • Hi

Got my PC sorted a few weeks ago for £20. I had to leave into the shop to be sorted. The PC is working well. Lost no pics or stuff.

I said to a friend at work about the shop and they contacted on Wednesday evening and asked if call out could be done.

Chap called today took over 4 hours to reinstalled PC and charged £20.

I paid £20 and had to leave into the shop for a day to be sorted.

Why was I charged £20 and he done a callout done over 4 hours at the house on a Sunday.

    Have I been robbed?

Sorry, I can't follow what you're saying. Any chance you can reword it so it makes sense? It seems you're saying you paid £20 to get the PC fixed a few weeks ago and were happy, but for some reason someone came out today and re-installed it for another £20. is this correct? If so, why did the guy come out again today?
  • I took my pc to a shop 3 weeks ago and it was reinstalled. Vista, All updates, openoffice and avira installed. my music and pictures where restored.

The same person who fixed my pc went to my friend father house today and spend 4 and half hours on a sunday and charged £20.

I had to take my pc to their shop, and I think that I was overcharged.

When I first contacted the repair man said it would be best to leave the pc into the shop.

I have left a voicemail for him to contact me and explain why i was charged £20.

I fell like I was robbed.
