can i cash my benefit giro at my towns main post office

hi i need to cash my giro but my local post office isnt open until monday now. will the main post office in town be able to cash it?

Doubt it. Most giros have a 7 digit post office code number endorsed on them. And you can only cash the giro at that particular post office.

I'm sorry to say that the Post Offices will be closed on Monday too because it's Bank Holiday

No you can't, at least I could never. Each giro has to be banked at a specific post office, the giro will have a reference number on it. And yeah monday they'll be closed due to bank holiday anyways. Tuesday is your next best bet sorry.
