The best inexpensive one I've tried is Nivea, but my favourite is Olay.
I've been using Olay aswell although only at night as I have quite oily skin and Olay is a little too oily for me during the day.

As for tinted moisteriser I think the boots botanics one is amazing!

i got one from ELF (online) - wasn't expecting much given the price, but really surprised how good it is (plus i got two colours so one will work when i go from looking anaemic to pale when i 'tan' in the summer!)

  • I would suggest Active Moist 100ml Tinted Moisturiser from Dermalogica.

Try Estee Lauder DayWear Plus Multi Protection Anti-Oxidant Moisturizer Spf 15 Sheer Tint Release Formula or the Bare Minerals range

I also have very pale skin and love Natural Collection tinted moisturiser in Fair :) It's only £1.99 from Boots so MSE too!

I'd also go with something like Natural Collection to start with, the price is great and there are 3 shades to choose from.
  • I've just bought ELF tinted moisturiser spf 15. Will report back when it arrives :)

I like the ELF one; i find the lightest shade verry pale.
I am mega pale and in the winter its fab. Too pale for my summer freckles tho.

I'd vote for Nivea Visage. It's about £3 when it's on offer in Boots or Asda and I find one tube lasts for absolutely ages. My GP advised me to try a tinted moisturiser as I suffer from rosacea (sorry if I've spelt that wrong). I find the Nivea tint seems to adjust to my skin tone shortly after application and it's fine on its own or over a base moisturiser like Olay.

I had laser surgery on my rosacea a few years ago so it's much better than it used to be. The Nivea tint just evens out my skin tone so I look fine. Ironically I've often had compliments about my complexion when I'm wearing the Nivea cream - if only they knew what lies beneath!
