I notice they've rebranded it from 'the retirement show'. Went to that last year and ended up feeling suicidal - every other stand was either about equity release or will writing. Too depressing for words. Let's hope the rebrand goes further than the new name.

Interesting data protection tick boxes which, if you select not to be contacted, seems to be ignored by the later statement of implied consent to be contacted!

You don't need to go on line for the tickets! There are two on a flyer in the current edition of Mature Times (which is available free from my library and used to be in Help the Aged shop- don't know if it still is with the re branding to Age UK) just fill in the tickets and take them with you. There is a clear 'opt out' box on the form.
I have friends in London who have been before (not last year 'cos you had to pay!!) as they are pensioners they get free travel and they rated it was a pleasant day out for free.......as they have signed up again it can't be bad!

It's a reasonable day out if you can get there without spending a bomb on travel.

The first year they had a display of coffins - ranging from wickerwork to glossy painted union jacks on the lid. That seemed to have gone the next year - maybe it was putting people off.

The fashion show 'models' seemed to be enjoying themselves - far more than professionals would have done.

I've not seen any adverse consequences from signing up on line.

Hi everyone! Just want to share this news, found it on The Mail on Sunday. I think it will be a great day out and I've already registered online as well as my over 50s club.
Just visit their website and go to the London registration page.
Deadline for free registration is 30 June.
