Places to stay near Alton Towers

Hi, could anyone recommend a travel lodge/ cheap accommodation close to Alton Towers?

I stayed at the chained oak farm b and b with my partner last month and it was absolutely fantastic. It's 5minutes walk from the park and the lady who runs it is absolutely lovely. It worked out far cheaper than travel lodge etc would have and was a much better experience. Can't recommend highly enough!

We stayed at the Travelodge in Ashbourne which is about 15 minutes drive from AT. It is a fairly new TL so basic, sparce fittings but it was clean. with a family pub nest door that does nice meals. There is a samll trading estate across the main road from the pub that has a Marks and Spencers simply food for snacks, newspapers and picnic items. Ashbourne Town is about 5 minutes drive or a 15 minute walk.

there is also a travelodge at the Alton Towers turning off the A50 at Uttoxeter. joined to a Little Chef
