How long for Halifax to Lloyds transfer

Hi,
Needing to do some large transfers (100k+) relating to a house purchase.

Halifax to another Halifax seems to complete in under 24 hours even for large sums.

Can anyone say for certain how long Halifax -> LTSB takes?

(ie still internal to HBOS but not internal Halifax)

thanks

3 working days unless it goes via CHAPS.

It will remain like that until November.

    What happens in November?

Does anyone know why some banks like Tesco Bank do not accept CHAPS payments?

When will BACS transfers in Euros be normal?

    Thanks

All transfers within the EU to arrive by the end of the next working day.

You would be best to pay the £25 CHAPS fee and as long as you do the transfer before 1.30pm it will arrive there on the same working day. CHAPS can be done on phone or in branch.

Another option is a bankers draft but that would still take xx days to clear in Lloyds.

A BACS transfer would take 3/4 working days but you may be restricted to how much you can send per day with Halifax.

Phone them on their 24hr helpline 08457 203040.

For an amount of that nature IMO there is only one option where time/clearance is critical - CHAPS.
