Scratch card not paying out

There's a woman on the front of our county newspaper who's been robbed of £20,000 on a lotto scratch card due to a misprint..!!
She has matched a 15g symbol on the golden nugget game card but because the id code under the icon doesnt match - Camelot are not going to pay out!!
The 15g icon should have the code fiftn but her 'winning' symbol has sixtn under it. So either the nugget icon is wrong or the id code is wrong - but Camelot have said 'get lost - you're not getting a penny'...
But looking at the card (on the front of the paper) - she has matched her symbol with a symbol on the game card and therefore won according the rules of the game. It doesn't say match the icon and corresponding id code - just in we've cocked things up etc...

so, if the words and figures dont match, how can they be robbing you of anything?
Isnt the idea to get an exact match?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
