Hi,
I've just clicked on an icon on my desktop that i didn't realise was there until recently. After i clicked, a box opened labelled "Missing Shortcut" and the message below read that windows was searching for cfgwiz.exe. To locate the file yourself click browse.
Does anyone know if this "cfgwiz.exe" is harmful to my computer or whether i need it to be there please. I would like to uninstall if i don't need it.
Thanks.

This file belongs to Norton Antivirus. It should be located in a subfolder, not on your desktop.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0

If you have Norton, you can choose to load it, stop it loading or uninstall it using the control panel

If you have a problem with that there is a Norton removal tool to make sure it goes away

For some reason, it's a shortcut to a file that's no longer there (Norton removed)
Just delete it.0 -

You should not be running 2 avs with active scanning at the same time.
Probably best to ditch AVG using http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilitiesMove along, nothing to see.0
