Internet connection problem

Can`t understand what`s going on.Had major problems yesterday getting connected,was on phone to Virgin for an hour and a half.
Had to eventually set up new network.:mad:
Today I am getting connected fine on my laptop but my desktop is playing up.I am trying to get connected via firefox ( which I am also using on my lapto)p,however I am getting" Firefox cannot find server"
It`s driving me potty.Any suggestions ?

Just tried with internet explorer and it is opening so many windows it`s unbelievable.I have rebooted but still the same HELP

If it's opening lots of IE windows after a clean boot, then it could be a malware issue.
Download Malwarebytes, install, update, quick scan, fix what it finds, then post the log here.

Thanks for your reply am running a scan now but how do i post the log here.Am having a senior moment.

Open malwarebytes, go to LOGS tab at top and click on the relevant scan, which opens a word file. Copy the log over (control +a, control +c) onto this post (control +v) so we can check for you and recommend further actions if necessary.
