Would appreciate some assistance on Joint Bank Accounts. My husband is SE and i am Employed. We want to open a joint account for household bills for us to both pay into.
However, we are concerned that H being SE will be taxed again? Any advice on how we can do this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Why would he be taxed again, i am se and have 3 or 4 accounts.
You only pay tax on your earnings and your book keeper or accountant should sort that out.0 -
Any/all interest paid on the current account will be taxed at 20% unless one or other of you is not/will not be a tax payer in the current financial year and submits a form R85.
On completing his tax return he'll declare 1/2 the interest paid on the account as his.0
