IE9 Odd Rendering

Needed to reset my IE browser, so took the opportunity to upgrade to IE9.
Seems OK except for many sites with adverts, possibly flash ones, display the advert in the top left hand corner, rather than where they should be eg middle of the page. Compatibility button doesnt solve the problem either.
Is it me or is it IE9?
Example......LinkedIn currently showing flash Blackberry ad for me in top left corner, rather than down the right underneath "people I might know", but when I refresh and if displays a "Cloud Computing" HTML ad, it displays it correctly.

- Click Start, Control Panel, Network and security and then clickInternet Options
- Click the Advanced tab, and then browse to the Accelerated graphics section.
- Click to select the Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering check box.
- Click Apply, and then click OK.
- Close all open Internet Explorer 9 windows, and then restart Internet Explorer 9.
- View the webpage in Internet Explorer 9.

Personally I prefer to use Firefox but I did do an upgrade on IE (IE9) and it somehow lost my favourite bar which was at the top of the page. I can't seem to find out how to add new favourite's on the bar so they are easily accessible.
As for the flash adverts, they are displayed at the top of my page on both Firefox and IE9.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -

If the other posters suggestion re hardware acceleration doesnt work have a look at the developer tools in the tools menu, you can set the browser to render in either IE7 or IE8 mode (both different to IE9 compatibility mode) in my experience both are very accurate to their intended emulations in terms of css rendering but jscripts are a bit touchy.0
