Strange unknown direct debit

I went to pay with my card today and it got declined - strange as I should have had about £20 in there.
I just checked my account and a direct debit went out today to someone called:
HOMEOWNERS 940340 for £30. There wasn't enough in my account, so I also got a bank charge of £25 and am now about £30 in debt (I don't have an overdraft)
I haven't set up any direct debits at all and have no idea where on earth this has come from. I don't have any direct debits set up on my account and have no idea what HOMEOWNERS could be.
Can anyone help me please?
Thank you

You really should be calling the fraud department of your bank ASAP, they are usually 24hr hotlines...
Have you ever been asked to use your card reader to log into your online bank account?
Do the basic malware checks here, but call your bank!

Thanks for replying. No, I don't have a card reader to log in, I just type my number and pass into the website.
I'll call them, thanks for the link0 -
It sounds very much like an insurance premium to me.0

Contact your bank advise you have no knowledge, cancel the direct debit, ask for it to be refunded.
If it is legitimate the company will be in touch with you at some point.0 -
Sounds like a DD for Homeowners Friendly Society. I used to have a policy with them, and that's how it appeared on my statements.0
