How much do you live on!!

The amount I earn varies each month, but I'd say that typical pay is £850 after tax per month. I live with my parents, but have to travel 40 miles in total every day to get to-and-from work.
Since I've been keeping a record of my spending and begun to budget my money in order to cover future monthly and yearly expenses, I can save a minimum of £270 per month. Currently my records show that I've saved 47% of my wage since March this year.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:D:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:jMe and the gang!!!0 -
OP you haven't stated your bills or incoming. If I had no outgoings, then I would want to save at least 75% split between emergency, short term, long term and pension savings.
If you have loads of outgoings then budget properly, and work out what percentage you can split between the above.
You need some form of pensions/old age savings and you need to save that from as soon as you can. You need emergency savings (3 x or more wages). You need holiday, car, repair savings. Then its nice to have a bit of money for clothes/hair cuts etc. This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
