I would look into selling old textbooks to raise some money. I was shocked to find my old uni textbooks were worth so much on Amazon Marketplace recently (I left uni in 2002 and did a science course so they go reasonably out of date quite quickly). I got over £20 (each) for most books and made a few hundred quid out of a box that had been kicking around my loft for the best part of the last decade!
