amazing fluffy rice in 10 minutes......with keep warm facility and it slow cooks and steams.

Yes in my opinion, as a 1st slow cooker, it is very good.

I'm in curry heaven.

The rice cooking is quick n'easy, I just realised I haven't been eating properly cooked rice for years.

All you do is use the measing cup for rice, add to bowl, then fill bowl up to measuring mark on bowl inside, shut lid switch on, 10 minutes later bingo, fluffy basmati and no water.

My local chinese will not have anymore rice orders from me now, I can set the cooker for rice, go up to the takeaway, get home with the main courses and open my rice cooker for the rice.

I reckon it'll pay for itself very quickly on the takeaway rice savings alone....

Cheers for that, dropped a more than subtle hint to my folks to get that for xmas instead of the usual useless c*** that I just have to return/re-sell/hide at the bottom of a drawer :rolleyes: .

how many can you cook rice for? we have six in our family and I find some of these gadgets just don't have enough capacity

I have done the minimum 2 cups, it is more than i can eat, me and OH couldn't eat 2 cups between us, it does 10 cups of rice.

2 cups turns into a circular amount 8 inches in diameter by 2 inches deep (basmati).
