Balance transfer not showing

Hi Everyone.

I have just transfered a balance from Capital One to Barclaycard. Now, I only got the Barclaycard a on Tuesday, but I requested the balance transfer when I sent back the credit agreement. The balance transfer amount is showing on the Barclaycard when I login to the online system and states a date of 16th August. However, when I log in to Capital One it is still showing the full amount on that statement as well, e.g. the balance transfer to Barclaycard is not showing. Do you think this is an !!!!!! up at Barclaycard and they have paid money to the wrong card or do you think that it is Capital One's system being slow to update?

    Balance transfers can take several weeks. One good reason not to do them if are paying interest.

    Capital One's online system can be slow to update; you'd be better off checking the balance by phone on their automated syatem: 0800 952 5150.

    I never request a balance transfer on an application form; I feel it's best to get the new card first. That way you know what credit limit they've given you and what scope you have to make a BT. Then you're more in control.

    Hi.

    I have checked on the phone number and it would appear that the transfer has gone across ok. Strange that there phone system is more up-to-date than the online one, you would think the date came from the same place.
