Problem with payment plan

My first time here so be gentle:A

I have a payment plan that means I make payment of £100 per month. it has to be paid by the 30th of each month.

To make it easier I have started making payments online when I am able to. So I may make 3 payments in a month but I always make sure they add up to the £100 and they get them before the 30th of the month.

I have now been told that I can't do that and have to make just 1 payment only of the total £100. Other wise I am in breach of my payment plan.:mad:

Is this right?
Can they refuse to accept my money paid this way as I am paying them £100 every month
Any help would be great

Which supplier? electricity or gas? what tariff?

In general, it sounds like petty bullying by the supplier - and I would just ignore them unless they instruct you in writing or they can point to it in the Terms and Conditions

I would hazard a guess that there is some charge for each transaction processed & they are penny pinching about that rather than considering the fact that they are getting their money earlier & (paltry as it may be these days) extra interest from the bank on all such payments.

Personally I'd tell them they are being silly & to like it or take it to the Ombudsman / Courts. I very much doubt that anyone would reasonably find you in breach of your payment plan based upon the above information

It does seem ridiculous as I pay the total monthly amount before the date they set.

I have never heard of a company turning down early payments:rotfl:

I have just looked at original paerwork and it states that [payment must be made by 30th of each month].

Now they are saying it has to be made as 1 payment in full on the date and not early in separate payments

I can only presume that they don't like it because their system can't cope with it.

If that's what the paperwork says, then tell them to go take a running jump!!!!
