British Gas Websaver 7 Ending
My Websaver 7 gas tariff ends on 30/6. Will I be transferred to the nearest equivalent BG tariff (Websaver 12), or straight to BG Standard tariff?
The BG website is as helpful as ever on this topic:
'At the end of the WebSaver 7 guaranteed discount period we may switch your product(s) to another product or to our Standard variable credit prices.'

From what I gather, British Gas now run an 'opt-in' rather than 'opt-out' policy, so they will be automatically transferring you to standard tariff, giving you the option to choose another tariff and sign up for it yourself, such as websaver 12.0

I just recieved this email today which gives all the info......
We would just like to remind you that your WebSaver energy tariff is coming to an end on 1 July 2011 when you are due to move on to our standard gas and electricity tariff. If you are happy with this tariff, there is nothing you need to do as we will look after everything for you. Learn more about your new prices.
If you would like more information on the other tariffs we have available, visit our online tariff comparison page which gives you a range of options to suit your energy needs. There will be no cancellation fee if you wish to change your tariff prior to your end date of 1 July 2011.
