Vote in Nationwide AGM 2011

Well, my six online votes went "AGAINST" everything, entered £1k prize draws, and donated 20p x 6 to Macmillan.
(used forms from family members who threw them in the bin, with their permission)0 -
All most people will see when opening this is the 'tick the box to enter £1000 prize draw', alongside the 'vote for all the directors recommendations box'. A lot easier than having to go through the individual questions ishould you stupidly decide to vote 'no'. Surely there should be a single box to vote against all the directors recommendations aswell.
Such a voting form must be open to challenge, it's incredibly biased. A lot of thought has obviously been put into the design.
I totally agree with Mr K above. Which fat cat approved the Quick Vote option, which effectively says "don't worry your little heads over the details but leave it to the board to do whatever they like" ?
It's a disgrace. One Quick Vote has the same weight as 14 standard "FOR" votes. Either remove this voting option or add a quick negative vote option with the same weight as 14 standard "AGAINST" votes.
Will this be referred to the Electoral Reform Services ?0 -

Surely this is an open goal!
Could anyone justify a 'package' over £ 1 million pa like 2 directors enjoy?
Come on Martin launch a campaign. The end of the millionaire club!
Already covered that one :T :T :T0 -
Voted against every board recommendation and the directors remuneration report. It's obscene a mutual society is paying 2 board members over £1 million a year in pay and benefits.0

i'm going to vote with my feet.
moving my mortgage, home insurance and life insurance away from them after a rather poor experience recentlyYou got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.0 -
Really? I would say pay a king's ransom and you will still get monkeys! I mean how hard are the jobs they are doing? They seem to pay more attention into thinking of ways to keep themselves in the trough than the running of the society. So they did not need to run to the goverment for a handout, well big deal! I hardly think that is much of an achievement but the directors are going to be dining out on it for ever.Pay peanuts and you'll get monkeys. They are paid a fraction of the salaries that the directors of the unsuccesful and bankrupt part nationalised banks are paid.
These people are crap value for money but they are excellent when it comes to self serving - I'll give them that!0 -
This society (like all the rest) has been hijacked by people who are more interested in serving THEIR OWN interests than yours. It's time to wake up and claim it back.
For all those who like to bury their head in the sand and pretend everything is normal...
Ask yourself - Why has the board rigged the voting form with a 'default' option since the year dot??? What are they afraid of? What are they hiding?
Why do the board choose their own new members and then get the sheep to 'rubber stamp' the decision THEY have made?
Ask yourself - When was the last time YOU actually had a choice about a board member?
Still want to bury your head in the sand? - Perhaps you should read this...
