Sorry guys this is a bit long - I just needed to vent a bit I'm absolutely hopping mad!!!
On the 24th Nov I placed an order worth £90 on the boots.com website and requested (and paid £7.50 for) a delivery on Sat 2nd December, the first Sat they had available. I duly waited in all day and it never arrived so on the Tuesday I phoned them (I wasn't in my normal office on the Monday and didn't have access to my emails and I wanted to have all the facts when I did call). To be fair, the guy I spoke to was very apologetic, particularly as I'd received an email on Mon 4th stating that my order had been dispatched that day for delivery on the 2nd (I think they must have a tardis). He stated, quite correctly that they would prob be delivering that day according to the system and that as it would need a signature then he spoke to Parcelforce and rearranged delivery for Sat 9th and supposedly refunded the £7.50 I'd paid for the non existent delivery on the 2nd.
I got home that night and the box containing six of the items I had ordered had been left in our porch cupboard (which is a separate issue with Parcelforce, I'm not impressed as its quite a valuable parcel really) but no sign of the other one which had the final three. Okay, I thought, it should be here on Sat as requested........
And you guessed it - once again I waited in and the b@*@*y thing hasn't turned up!! Have just phoned Boots again and he can't track it on his system and I'm now waiting for a call back from the duty supervisor......which should be interesting as I've asked the poor guy I've just spoken to to pre warn them that I'm absolutely furious..
Has anyone else had any issues with Boots? Usually they're really good but I feel really let down this time

The issue could well be with Parcelforce, not Boots. I would suspect that both packages were sent out on the same day, and one has gone missing along the way.
I ordered a lot of my Christmas presents online last year, and had problems with two, both being sent by courier (different couriers and not Parcelforce). I tracked them through the tracking number to the depot but that was as far as they got. I spent hours hanging in automated queues for both companies, and in both cases was told without a hint of embarrassment or shame, that as the items were fairly small, they had almost certainly been stolen from the depot by the couriers' employees, and that this "happens all the time, especially at Christmas"!
I suspect Boots will send the stuff again for you without the need for a fight at your end, but if the things are small maybe it would be easier to have them sent to your office rather than home, so you can keep a better eye on them, and don't have to wait in all day for a delivery again?0
