Sage One Accounts - Any good?

I have just started my own electrical business and have been using the freebie Sage download software. The business isn't really doing much at the moment as its running along side another full time job but this software isn't really meeting my needs, so i'm looking for an alternative and the Sage One seems to tick all the boxes for my needs at the moment.
I was just wondering if anybody has any experiance of using the Sage One accounts system and what they think of it, or, if anybody knows of an alternative?

I must admit that I don't use any accounting software as I keep manual books.
I have used Sage in the past and found it be good (not used Sage One though) and one of my clients uses KashFlow which I use when I visit his offices and this is quite easy to use.0 -

If the Sage "freebie" isn't doing the job for him then an even less sophisticated solution like an Excel spreadsheet is unlikley to!
Is Sage One the new version of Sage Instant Accounts? That works well for me, have used QuickBooks in the past too - not a lot of difference between them.0 -

I've read this thread with interest. We've been using Sage One for around a year now and find that it does meet our needs. I find the invoicing system particularly useful and easy to track progress. I havent found any other product on the market with comparable software at a similar price point!0
