Simple Wireless CCTV

Dear all,
I am looking for a simple wireless (ideally battery) CCTV system. My wife has a small beauty business above some shops.
I just need one camera (no audio, record etc.) that we can fix at the top of the stairs so that she can see if somebody comes through the front door.
This would transmit (does not need to record) to a small monitor (ideally you would be able to move or walk around with the monitors as she moves from one room to another).
The building is very old with very thick walls - may affect transmission?
Does anybody have any experience or tips ?

You might have a look at this, note it will need an all weather housing. Maplins do have a range of cctv and accessories.
