Cheapest hand luggage?

The bags which pairs of pillows come in are very close to the hand luggage sizes. They usually have a zip and carrying handles, are extremely light weight, quite sturdy and best of all - free! The weakest part is probably the plastic which bears the advertising, although as you will have your luggage with you almost all the time, and so not subject it to rough treatment, it should be perfectly adequate. However, if you want to be extra safe, and you have 2, reverse one and place inside the other. if you don't like displaying the advert and you have 2, cut out most of the offending face and the areas with the handles, and place the other inside with the plain side showing. This bags handle will pass through the slots you cut out for carrying, and keep the two together. You then have double protection on 5 sides as an added bonus!

If the bag is slightly larger than the airline's specification, just don't fill it completely. It will then squish down to to fit in one of the luggage measuring cages. If you put your overcoat in the bag and remove it at the airport you will free up space in the bag to let it squish up.

I hope you find this useful - especially as you can take advantage of the larger sized allowances for one airline and use the same bag where the allowance is less.

OK, so there are no wheels, but with hand luggage as light as this the chances are you won't need them!
