Hi
I posted a few days ago asking for advice on scams that people may try and catch me out with.
I have put 3 cars up on Ebay 2 days ago and all are doing quite well but the 2 biggest problems that occur are:
1. Dreamers and time wasters,
2. and more importantly the western union money scammers. i have already had 5 mails asking me whether i will take western union, even though i state in huge red letters that i wont under any circumstances after you guys told me to be careful
i have had 1 person message me offering £5000 over what i would expect for the car, he wanted to "sort the money out via western union" its "no problem with money, you get money in your bank, then i get vehicle collected, ok yeah?"
good job i asked on here and looked into things else i would not have been any the wiser, the way i see it is if the money is in your bank you are safe. thank you to everyone who advised me and pre warned me, you have saved me losing a whole load of money.
thanks

nice to hear that the scammers didn't win on that one!! if you are interested there is a 'sport' emerging called "Scam Baiting", just type this into google and it will show you all sorts of websites of people who have tried to trip up these scammers...
There is a thread here somewhere about a p-p-p-p-powerbook, i'll look it up for you and post the link - its really funny reading!
grin!
