Parking problems - cars blocking our driveway

Our local authority are quite happy to give parking tickets to people who obstruct my driveway. Whether or not i want to park on it. They will only ticket people at the home-owners request.
The police are happy to remove the car if my car is already on the driveway.
Give your local council a ring and ask to speak to parking enforcement. Given that most county councils are now scraping around for funds, they are quite happy to ticket people and put extra money into their highways budget0 -

We had this problem some years ago. It was a real nuisance at first, especially as my wife was a doctor who had to do on-call form home...and we lived opposite a school!
Council said they could paint a white line across drive at our expense. Think it was about £50 at the time. The white line is only advisory but it did the trick for 90% of the drivers. Local beat copper also said if we had a problem with either a persisitent illegal parker or someone who left a car there for a long time, they would tow it away. Eventually the problem wnt away apart from one nutter!
A polite clear sign would be the first move I think, followed by the escalating options above! Something like "Please Do Not Obtsruct Drive " then add later if needed "...Or Police May Be Called."Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0 -

A polite note left on their windscreen pointing out the need for the driveway to remain clear
And if you get this printed on VERY sticky paper, placed right over the centre of their windscreen........illegitimi non carborundum0 -
If they are ignorant "gits" who park over a dropped kerb, they are unlikely to respond to a polite notice. I do like the sticky label idea though.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

As long as that doesn't get you landed with a "criminal damage" charge I suppose.
Cheers
Being as you are not damaging the vehicle then you cant be done for crim damage !
The damage is only done when the driver tries to remove the label, the father in law was told to do exactly that with gummed lables for inconsiderate drivers who blocked his driveway by a local copper. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
Its getting into the "I wouldnt have battered his head in had he not been in my house, burgling me, at the time".illegitimi non carborundum0

Last time (some years ago) when I got really annoyed, I wiped engine oil on the windscreen of the ignoramus.0
